Last updated: October 21, 2025

This Policy constitutes a legal agreement between you ("User") and Wander Weather ("We") regarding the use of this app and related services. Your use of this app constitutes your acceptance of this Policy. If you disagree with any of the terms of this Policy, please do not download, install, or use this app. By downloading, installing, or using this app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy. This Policy applies only to our app and not to third parties.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

A. Location Information

• Collect your "approximate location" using only rough coordinates to automatically display local weather.

• If you deny authorization, we will not read any coordinates; you can manually enter a city name to obtain weather information.

B. Device and Feature Information

Basic device parameters: device model, device manufacturer, operating system version, local language, time zone, network status (Wi-Fi/cellular), and available hard drive space.

Identification fields: Android Advertiser Identifier (ADID), unique device identifier, MAC address, IMEI, application identifier, application version, and application distribution channel (Google Play or other).

Operating Environment: SDK/API/JS code version, platform type, timestamp, and IP address.

C. Service Activity Information

In-app events: page dwell, click, refresh, and manual city addition/deletion, used for statistics and experience optimization.

Referral URL: Records the source link that redirected to this app, used only for attribution and promotion effectiveness statistics.

D. Advertising Identifier

• Only the Google Advertising ID is read, and its use is limited to frequency control and invalid traffic filtering; you can reset or disable it in system settings.

2. What Data We Process?

To provide you with a better, more personalized, and more secure service, we not only process the data you provide directly but may also obtain legitimate information from trusted third-party partners. This information is explained below:

Advertising Partners and Other Relevant Third Parties

We may obtain information about you from legally authorized third parties, primarily in the following categories:

A. Data Source Types:

Analytics Providers: These partners help us understand overall service usage (e.g., anonymized user behavior trends, feature popularity) to optimize product performance and user experience.

Advertising Networks: To show you more relevant and interesting ads and measure ad effectiveness, we may obtain information about your ad interactions and interests from advertising partners (this information is typically in the form of anonymous identifiers).

Data Partners: We may obtain verified public information or business contact information from compliant commercial databases to supplement our existing information for more accurate identity verification or business analysis.

Public Sources: We may process information from publicly available sources (such as government directories and corporate information disclosure websites) where legal and compliant.

B. Information Aggregation and Use:

We aggregate and analyze information we receive from various sources to build a more comprehensive view. For example, we may combine your proactively provided professional information with your interest in certain professional content learned through our analytics providers to provide you with more targeted content or service recommendations.

Key Commitment: Once we combine externally acquired information with personal data that directly or indirectly identifies you, the entire combined data set will be treated as personal data and subject to the same strict protections and regulations as described in this Privacy Policy. We will take all reasonably necessary technical and organizational measures to protect the security of this data.

3. How We Retain and Delete Your Personal Data?

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary. Our data retention policy adheres to the following core principles to ensure your information is not retained beyond its expiration date:

A. Necessary Retention for the Continuation of a Relationship

As long as you have an ongoing relationship with us (for example, as an active user of our services, or as a customer or partner), we will continue to retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide services, fulfill your contract, or maintain your account.

B. Mandatory Retention for Legal Compliance

In certain circumstances, even if you no longer have an active relationship with us, applicable laws and regulations (such as tax, commercial, and financial regulations) may require us to retain certain data for a specified period of time. Furthermore, we may need to retain the data to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights (such as in response to potential litigation or investigations). In such cases, we ensure that the data is only used for legal compliance purposes and is subject to strict access controls.

C. Deletion in Response to Your Rights

You have the right to delete your personal data. Unless there is a legal retention obligation as described above, upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will promptly comply with the law and delete your relevant personal data from our active systems and backup records.

D. Regular Deletion Based on Purpose Completion

When the purpose for which data was collected has been fulfilled (for example, a service inquiry has been processed) and there are no longer any legitimate reasons for retaining it, we will initiate regular internal processes to systematically delete or anonymize/de-identify the data to ensure that it can no longer be used to identify individuals.

E. Processing of Anonymous Data

Please note that our commitment to retain and delete personal data does not apply to information that has been completely anonymized. When data is processed and exists in a form that cannot be reasonably re-identified to a specific individual (for example, aggregated, anonymized statistical data), such information no longer constitutes "personal data." We may retain and use this anonymized data indefinitely for purposes such as business analysis and product development.

4. What is the legal basis for processing your data?

We process your data only if we have at least one of the following legal bases:

Consent: You have explicitly consented to the specific processing activity.

Performance of a contract: Necessary for entering into or performing a contract with you.

Legal Obligations: Necessary to comply with EU or Member State laws.

Legitimate Interests: Pursuant to our legitimate business interests or those of third parties (such as fraud prevention and product improvement), which do not override your privacy rights.

5. Information Stored Using Cookies, Web Beacons, and Other Technologies

Cookies: Our services and embedded third-party code may use technologies such as cookies, web beacons, and pixel tags to maintain logged-in status, count visits, and provide personalized advertising.

Cross-Site Tracking: Third-party advertising partners may access these cookies on other websites to display relevant ads to you.

IP/MAC Collection: Some cookies record IP or MAC addresses, which are considered personal data in some jurisdictions; we only process this information where we have a lawful basis to do so.

Management Options: You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser or device settings; if you do so, some features of our services may not function properly.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR

We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal data and will assist you in exercising the following rights under the law. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you may request the following under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Right to Erasure (Right to Be Forgotten): You may request immediate deletion of your data if there is no legitimate basis for us to continue processing it.

Right to Restriction of Processing: You may request that the processing of your personal data be suspended during the dispute period.

Right to Object: Object to processing activities we conduct based on legitimate interests, based on your particular situation; Object to processing for direct marketing purposes at any time, without stating a reason.

Right to Data Portability: You may request that the automated data you provide to us when you consent to or to enter into a contract with us be transferred to you or a designated third party in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal, but may result in the unavailability of some features.

7. How to Exercise Your Rights

Please submit a request to [email protected]. We may request identity verification before processing and will strive to respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your EEA member state regarding our processing practices.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover any accounts under the age of 13, we will promptly delete their relevant data in accordance with the law.

10. Policy Updates and Notices

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If there are significant or substantive changes, we will notify you through prominent notifications within the app. If you continue to use our services after such changes take effect, it means that you have fully read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the updated policy.
